Joining the Team — Checklist¶
This page outlines the required steps for any prospective member to be formally admitted to the IMPETUS INDOMITUS research team. Complete the steps below in order and coordinate with Professor Guillermo Jaramillo throughout the process.

Make contact — Reach out to Professor Jaramillo expressing your interest in joining the research team.

First Responder Certification — Complete the First Responder course offered by IDIGER:

Upload your certificate — Submit your certification to the shared folder IMPETUS INDOMITUS: FIRST RESPONDER CERTIFICATE.
(Request folder access once you have completed your certification.) -
Define a project — Work with Professor Jaramillo to identify a project to begin contributing to.

Complete onboarding forms — Fill out the forms that Professor Jaramillo will send you.

Equipment certification — You must be certified in the operation of all equipment available in the team and in the Fluid Mechanics Laboratory.

Academic association membership — If you are an undergraduate student in the School of Mechanical Engineering, you must join the ASME Student Chapter at Universidad del Valle. Students from other programs must be active members of at least one recognized academic association.

Semester reports — At the beginning of each academic semester, submit a one-page activity plan. At the end of the semester, submit a one-page report detailing what you accomplished.

Degree project commitment — All student members are expected to pursue their degree project (undergraduate Trabajo de Grado or graduate thesis) within the team. If a member chooses not to do so when the time comes, their membership will be revoked.

Proceso de Ingreso al Equipo — Lista de Verificación¶
Esta página describe los pasos requeridos para que cualquier aspirante sea admitido formalmente al equipo de investigación IMPETUS INDOMITUS. Complete los pasos a continuación en orden y coordine con el Profesor Guillermo Jaramillo durante todo el proceso.

Hacer contacto — Comunicarse con el Profesor Jaramillo expresando su interés en unirse al equipo de investigación.

Certificación como Primer Respondiente — Completar el curso de Primer Respondiente ofrecido por el IDIGER:

Subir el certificado — Cargar su certificación en la carpeta compartida IMPETUS INDOMITUS: FIRST RESPONDER CERTIFICATE.
(Solicitar acceso a la carpeta una vez completada la certificación.) -
Definir un proyecto — Trabajar con el Profesor Jaramillo para identificar un proyecto en el cual comenzar a contribuir.

Completar los formularios de ingreso — Diligenciar los formularios que el Profesor Jaramillo le enviará.

Certificación en equipos — Debe estar certificado/a en la operación de todos los equipos disponibles en el equipo de investigación y en el Laboratorio de Mecánica de Fluidos.

Membresía en una asociación académica — Si es estudiante de pregrado de la Escuela de Ingeniería Mecánica, debe ser miembro del Capítulo Estudiantil de ASME en la Universidad del Valle. Los estudiantes de otros programas deben ser miembros activos de al menos una asociación académica reconocida.

Informes semestrales — Al inicio de cada semestre académico, debe entregar un informe de una página con el plan de actividades a realizar. Al finalizar el semestre, deberá entregar otro informe de una página con los logros alcanzados.

Compromiso con el proyecto de grado — Se espera que todos los estudiantes miembros realicen su proyecto de grado (Trabajo de Grado de pregrado o tesis de posgrado) dentro del equipo. Si al momento correspondiente el estudiante decide no hacerlo, su membresía será revocada.
